Full bodied with notes of intense black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors. Energetic and focused with an impressively long finish. Silky, harmonious tannins.
The Soberanes Vineyard, located in the heart of the Santa Lucia Highlands, builds upon a tradition of high quality wine growing. In 2008, this vineyard was planted with a selection of different clones, each especially chosen for the specific section of land. The sandy loam soils and cooling marine influence allows Pinot Noir to thrive in this climate.
It's always fun to taste the difference between California and Oregon Pinot Noir side-by-side. Soberanes Vineyard fruit truly accentuates the cool coastal climate in which it is grown. While each person perceives flavors differently, we find that wine made from this particular vineyard tends to be fruit-forward, exhibiting a sweetness of figs and strawberry with a cola and perfumed core.
