Planted in 1991, the 50-acre Hawks View Vineyard offers the ideal growing conditions for Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. The eastern-facing slope and Laurelwood soils, combined with dry farming and hand harvesting, allow for wines of great character and distinction.
Each year, the grapes for our white wines are the first to be picked, and the 2017 vintage was no different. Like a canary in a coal mine, the white wines give us an indicator of the quality of the vintage, and we were duly impressed. With each day of fermentation, we marveled at the floral and tropical notes that were coming from our barrel and tank fermentations.
