Medium bodied with notes of bing cherry, cola, baking spice. Medium acid, soft tannins and uplifting finish. Oregon in a glass!
Planted in 1991, the 50-acre Hawks View Vineyard offers the ideal growing conditions for Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. The eastern-facing slope and Laurelwood soils, combined with dry farming and hand harvesting, allow for wines of great character and distinction.
Before we even brought fruit into the winery, we could tell that this vintage of Pinot Noir from our Estate vineyard was going to have amazing color. The growing season started off with a bang due to an uncharacteristically warm summer that led to a rather compact harvest. For this vintage, we chose to seal the bottle with a screw cap in order to preserve the freshness, intensity and fruit-forward tone of this wine.
