2007 Hawks View Vineyard Pinot Noir
The 2007 Hawks View Vineyard Pinot Noir is a selection of blocks from the Hawks View Vineyard. The foundation of this wine is the unique “Hanzell Selection” block that gives this wine freshness, lift, and elegance. From this foundation we build into the blend some of our other clonal blocks, Pommard, Wadenswil, and Dijon clones 667, 777,114. These wines bring spice, depth and structure to the overall wine. The wine was aged for 15 months in 13% new French oak, 31% once filled French oak, and 56% neutral French oak barrels.
The 2007 Hawks View Pinot Noir shows red raspberry, currant, and dried herbs compliment the palate of cherry, baking spice, and bramble.
